Welcome to Open CV Engine, an AI-powered CV analysis and video interview platform. We use advanced language models to analyse CVs against job descriptions and provide AI-assisted video interview capabilities to help job seekers and recruiters make better hiring decisions.

Open CV Engine is operated from England, United Kingdom. By accessing or using Open CV Engine, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Service Description

Open CV Engine is a recruitment technology platform that allows users to:

Upload and analyse CVs against job descriptions using AI technology
Receive detailed skill matching, gap analysis, and culture fit assessments
Conduct asynchronous video interviews with AI-generated questions
Practice interviews with AI feedback for job seekers
Manage candidates and evaluations for recruiters
Generate tailored CV suggestions and interview preparation materials

The service is provided "as is" and is subject to ongoing changes, updates, and improvements as we continue development.

3. Content Usage & Ownership

Your Content: You retain ownership of all content you upload to Open CV Engine, including CVs, job descriptions, and video interview recordings. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to process, analyse, and store this content solely for the purpose of providing our services to you.

AI-Generated Content: Evaluation results, skill analyses, interview questions, and other AI-generated outputs are provided for your personal and professional use within the platform. You may use these insights to inform your hiring decisions or job search activities.

Restrictions: You may not use Open CV Engine to:

Process content you do not have the right to use
Resell or redistribute our AI analysis as a separate service
Scrape, copy, or systematically download platform content
Circumvent usage limits or platform restrictions

4. User Accounts & Responsibilities

4.1 Account Creation

Open CV Engine uses Google OAuth for authentication. By signing in with your Google account, you authorise us to access your basic profile information (name, email address, and profile picture) as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account used to access Open CV Engine. Please report any unauthorised access immediately.

4.3 Account Types

Open CV Engine offers individual accounts for job seekers and company accounts for recruiters. Each account type has different features and usage allowances as described in our pricing plans.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Open CV Engine to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Upload fraudulent, misleading, or falsified CVs or job descriptions
Process personal data of individuals without their consent
Discriminate against candidates based on protected characteristics
Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract our AI models
Use the platform for any illegal or harmful purpose
Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate our policies.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Platform IP

The Open CV Engine platform, including its design, code, AI models, and branding, is our intellectual property and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of our platform without permission.

6.2 AI Analysis

While you may use AI-generated insights for your personal and professional purposes, the underlying algorithms, models, and methodologies remain our proprietary technology.

7. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. The platform may experience:

Temporary outages or downtime for maintenance
Bugs, errors, or unexpected behaviour
Changes to features or functionality with notice
Degraded performance during high-demand periods

Our services depend on third-party AI providers and cloud infrastructure which may have their own availability limitations.

8. Limitation of Liability

Open CV Engine is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Open CV Engine and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

Use or inability to use the service
Hiring decisions made based on platform analysis
Inaccuracies in AI-generated evaluations or recommendations
Loss of data or service interruptions
Unauthorised access to your account or content

AI analysis is intended to assist decision-making, not replace human judgement. You remain solely responsible for all hiring and career decisions.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.

We comply with UK GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your data, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

10. Subscriptions & Payments

Some features of Open CV Engine require a paid subscription. Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to:

Pay the applicable fees for your chosen plan
Provide accurate billing information
Accept automatic renewal unless you cancel before the renewal date

You can manage your subscription and cancel at any time through your account settings or the Stripe billing portal.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this document. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the platform.
